The Role:
We are recruiting a Warehouse Operative to help drive the business forward of our Milton Keynes based family owned flooring distribution business.
Ideally we need someone good knowledge of flooring products, although training will be provided. Our goods include Carpets, Wood Laminates and LVT, so candidates must be able to lift heavy goods, some weighing over 30 kg. You must have an interest in, and a willingness to learn about products, and have confidence to engage with customers, in house, and whilst on deliveries.
Responsibilies:

- Be responsible to help unload the products from suppliers, complete paperwork
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; complying with procedures, rules and health & safety regulations.
- Required to perform general warehouse duties
- Take all precautions to reduce damage stock and ensure stock is secure and in good condition both in the warehouse
- Ensure all Company/Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Assist in stock control, identifying & locating any missing items, spare stock and supplier/customer returns
- Ad-Hoc duties as requested
- Occasional van driving (Sprinter Van)
Skills and Experience:
- Forklift Driving Experience would be preferred but full training will be given to the right candidate
- Good English language skills/excellent communication
- Numeracy and literacy skills
- Happy to talk to all types of people
- Motivated and proud of achieving
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative
